Joys of January.......

It’s the starting of the new year and a pristine weather in Mumbai, which is rare. Makeup in Jan turns toward being a little frosted and icy to match the weather. Btw we have started matching
even weather with our attires and colors.
I have some makeup ideas for January that I’d like to share.

1. Being an ardent fan of tints and stains I love this look all year round but it looks exceptionally well in winters. A moisturizing foundation like Clinique’s Superbalanced Makeup is an ideal during winters owing to its moisturizing properties even after being oil free. Dab where needed after using Clinique’s Moisture surge Extended Thirst Relief moisturizer and prepping the skin with Clinique’s Moisture Sheer tint spf 15. Lightly dust Clinique’s Superpowder Double face powder with a fluffy brush. Stain the cheeks with Clinique’s Blushwear Cream blush followed by a gentle swipe of its coordinating color in QuickBlush powder blush. Concentrate the blush on the apples of cheeks to mimic a wintry flush. Swipe and blend Clinique’s Quickeyes cream eyeshadow on the lids and a lighter color on the brow bone. I suggest plums and berries for the blush and neutral soft peaches and taupes for eyes. Apply two coats of Clinique Lash Power Mascara in Dark chocolate. Stain Clinique Buttershine lipstick in Cranberry Cream on the lips. This is done by applying some lipstick on the lips and blending it into the lips for a stained effect without the texture off the lipstick being obvious. Dab on some Clinique Vit.C Lip Smoothie in Goodness Grapecious lipgloss on the centre of lower lip for an enhanced pout. And you are ready for the day…….
2. To convert the above look into night time, add on Clinique’s Quickliner for eyes in Grape on the lids followed by Color Surge Soft Shimmer eyeshadow in Black Orchid. Amplify the lashes with several coats of Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black for dramatic lashes. Dab on some more of the Vit.C Lip smoothies for more drama.
3. This winter try using a peach bronze blush to add warmth to the already cold skin. This can be done by dusting Clinique’s Almost bronzer spf 15 with Clinique Blushing Blush in Precious Posy. Apply Vit.C Lip Smoothie in Rhubarbie and you’d look divine..
These looks are almost universal flattering all colors. It is one’s discretion to go light and dark on colors if needed and I put it on you to do so.

Till then,

Ciao
