The Glampyre........(the glamorous vampire look)

This is not the look we are doing btw.....Vampires are seductive and sensual but they always followed on makeup style. This is something innovative for all my reader girls and vampires to try. Its dark yet colorful.

FACE

  • Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector Rs.1450
  • Stila One Step Makeup Foundation Rs.1890 approx.
  • Clinique Blended Loose Powder Rs.1600
  • Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Rose Rs.2300 approx.
  • MAC Powder blush in Prism Rs.1080 or Mocha Rs.1080

Smooth the skin with moisturizer and make it more radiant and less vampirish using Instant Light Complexion Perfector. It gives the radiance that is perfect for the spring. Its dewy and oil free. Smoothen Stila's One step makeup foundation which is a primer, concealer, foundation and powder all in one giving results that are unbelievable for the eyes of both humans and vampires. Yet to set the makeup beating the summer hear I like a dash of Blended Loose powder on the T zone whilst keeping the cheeks radiant.

Contour under the cheek bones from the ears to the area under the apples of cheeks for sculpted face. Use soft matter dirty pink or brown blushes like Prism or Mocha for soft sculpting. Dust Shimmer Brick in Rose to create subtle rosy pink nuances worthy of summery flush. I refrain from using bronzers for this look so I dont follow the summer trend.

EYES

  • Benefit Lemonaid Correcting Primer
  • NYX Jumbo Pencils in Rust, Black Bean and Purple Rs.425 each
  • Lancome Color Focus in Black Strass Rs.1050 each
  • MAC Sunday Best eyeshadow Rs.900
  • MAC Pigment in Violet and Blackened Red Rs.1300 approx.
  • Bourjois Volume MAX Mascara Rs.550 approx.

Prime the lids with primer. I like this lid correcting primer so that the vessels et al are hidden and it creates a smooth base. You can also use MAC Paint pot in Soft Ochre as its got a tinge of light yellow in it. Trace the lash line and the lid with Black Bean upto the crease. With MAC 217 (the ultimate blending brush of the beauty world) soften the pencil and blend it in the crease. Trace the same line on the lower lids. Draw a thicker line as vampires are generally sleep deprived. In the inner corners apply purple pencil and blend with a pencil brush. On the black pencil, on the centre of the lid use the Rust pencil and create a plummy rusty nuance. Again blend the corners. With a flat small eyeshadow brush which is slightly dampened apply the BLACKENED RED reflects. This is a micro fine glitter with a burgundy shine. Apply the reflects on centre of the lid over the rust pencil. On the inner and outer corners apply a shimmery black (Black Strass) and make them meet in the crease. Now in the inner corners apply Violet pigment. Apply some violet pigment above the crease as well to create a glamorous effect.

Trace the water lines with Black bean and apply some Black Strass over the smoked pencil on the lower lid. Finish off with multiple coats of Volume Max Mascara

LIPS

Smudge Clinique's Cranberry Cream lipstick Rs.1025 on the lips to create a glossy stain. Aplly another layer to deepen the color to get a "berry" effect. Then top it with a dark plum gloss with high shine like Christian Dior Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in Black tie plum Rs.1650 approx.

This look  does have an old world glmaour but the Violet adds a modern touch.

Please post your pics if you liked the look...

Till then,

Ciao

NYX Jumbo Pencils............

I am such a fan of chubby jumbo eye pencils. Not that I discovered them now but I got time to write about them now. Their website description is:

"A radiant eye liner that also doubles as an eye shadow. Made with a blend of mineral oil and powder, our creamy Jumbo Eye Pencils glide on effortlessly—no pulling, tugging or fading—and come in a rainbow of vivid hues. Some call her chubby. We say voluptuous. Available in 28 shades"

And they really mean it. I only own three shades which I thought were the best of the lot they had. They are Black bean, Purple and Rust the last one a recent purchase. I love these pencils as they are wonderful when used themselves or when you want dramatic looks that last or everywhere in between. I am going to use some of these pencils in the looks I would be doing in couple of days.

Its a must buy.....Lemme know what you felt,

Till then,

Ciao
