Be Blessed with BB Cream

BB cream is out and its outrageous. This Korean concept of having a single product that suffices as your moisturizer, sunscreen, primer, foundation and concealer revolutionized the Asian cosmetic industry and today Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan each produce their own version of BB cream. They claim it to be a solution for all skin problems.

So what's a BB cream? BB cream stands for Blemish Balm. What is undesirable on the face is a "blemish" so it could be acne with scars, pigmentation, dullness, dryness, uneven skin tone, wrinkles and fine lines and everything that includes in the word blemish. A BB cream would not only improve the resilience of skin after usage but also create a flawless sheer veil of color adding transperency and flawlessness to the skin after its every single use.

Though BB creams are generally all skin type creams, brands have started creating lines for invidual skin types and now they also have a BB cream for men. A polished look is what one could expect from a BB cream. Since BB cream hasnt penetrated the Indian market it is going to be a bit difficult to find the right shade for our olive and darker skin tones.Taking into consideration the white milky skin of Asian women BB creams come in one or two shades and can put a greyinsh cast over a user who has darker skin.

Though the shade is problem it could be solved by using BB cream as an under makeup base and then applying your favorite foundation and concealer and powder over it. Asian brands like Hanskin (Japan), SKin food; Skin 79; Dr.Jarts+; Laneige (Korea) and Missha (china) create some of the most famous BB creams and so do global brands like Estee Lauder, MAC, Lancome, Christian Dior and Clinique. The later have taken global skin colors into consideration so I have some hopes from these brands.

I am purchasing my first BB cream from Skin79 called Diamond something from and I will review it soon to see whether its worth buying or not.

Till then,
