Green N Grey ..the makeup look

I love to try out odd combinations of colors, texture and finishes in makeup and churn out something better, creative and most importantly wearable. Greens and greys have been seen before but the greens were to dark and smoky and the greys were too light I believe. Here I have a different version. I suggest using a lime green more like chartreuse green.

Starting with an oil free moisturizer use a makeup primer to keep the makeup long lasting. Clarins' instant light complexion perfector INR 1450 is my choice for an amazing looking complexion. Dot on foundation if needed, a light foundation like Clinique Superbalanced makeup INR 1550 just where needed and if needed. Blend and blend till it melts into skin and is untraceable. Dot on YSL Touche Eclat INR 2150 concealer under eyes and in the inner corners. Blend with fingers Shiseido accentuating stick in S4 Rouge flush INR 1950 on cheek bones towards temples for a healthy flush of color. Set with translucent loose powder like MAC prep+prime transparent finishing powder INR 1250 with a fluffy blush brush. To add complexity to the blush dust a lovely coral pink color like Clinique's Blushing Blush in Precious posy INR 1550 on the cheek apples. Dust a soft shimmer on the heights of cheeks like Chanel Tweed Blush in Tweed Corail INR 2500 to add a bit of sophistication.

Prep and prime the lids. Not to prime is a crime says ace makeup artist Napoleon Perdis which is so true. For this look I'd love MAC paint pot in Soft ochre INR 1100 for its yellow color has a dual purpose. It corrects the purplish haze and conceals broken blue capillaries on the lid plus makes the green eyeshadow warmer and brighter. Highlight brow bones with MAC eyeshadow in Sunday best or Nylon INR 900. In the crease apply with dome brush MAC Folie to define the crease. On the outer corners apply a shimmery black eyeshadow like MAC Black tied submerging it into the outer crease and also on the outer half of the lower lid. Trace the inner rims with black kohl and shut eyes tightly to spread it evenly. On the middle third apply a magical grey color like Clarins mono eyeshadow in Mystery Grey INR 850 with a flat brush like MAC 239. On the lower lids over the black apply this grey and subtly smoke it out. An acid green eyeshadow in the inner third like MAC Sweet n Punchy (dupe is Bitter) pulls the whole mundane look together. Also blend it on the lower half with feather light strokes. In the inner corner apply the same higlighter. This look btw was also inspired from a color combination I'd seen years ago @ Gianfranco Ferre. Trace the lower rims with a sooty grey eye pencil like Clinique Kohl shaper for eyes in Black Pewter INR 990 and finish off with loads of MAC Opulash mascara in Black. Comb through brows and fill in the gaps and set with brow gel.

Lips are drenched and dewy with Clinique Buttershine Lipstick in 406 Delovely INR 1025 and Clinique Superbalm in Mango INR 950.

Do try this look and let me know.

Till then,
