I love makeup that exudes sensuality and has a modern touch. A luminous radiant complexion, smoldering bedazzling eyes, super model cheek bones and full luscious pouted lips is all what I dream of when I have to do makeup on someone. All this is done in a subtle way and that's what compliments the au naturale look. Modern vintage is about smoldering greek goddess like eyes with a slick of gloss to add modern touches. Let's see what we need to do:-
Prime prime and prime with MUFE HD primer INR 1770 all over the face for a long lasting complexion over a well moisturized skin and sunscreen during day time. Light weight radiant foundation like Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation INR 950 in an appropriate color. Take a pea size on the back of your palm and with a foundation brush like Clinique Foundation Brush INR 1770 dab and blend starting from the centre of the face working it outwards and downwards towards the perimeter of the face. Smooth and blend the foundation like it was a part of the skin. Conceal under eye circles, discolorations and blemishes with Clinique All About Eyes Concealer with a concealer brush. I love the Estee Lauder concealer brush INR 1360 as it is shaped and feels like a finger. Set loosely with a loose powder like Clinique's Blended Loose Powder INR 1600 with a fluffy powder brush like Lancome's powder brush INR 2050 approx. Dust only the shiny and oily areas preferably keeping the cheek areas bare to give appearance of dewy cheek bones.
On cheek bones I like to dust a matte bronzer like MAC bronzer in Matte Bronze INR 1250 and dust a shimmery peach or coral blush like MAC's Peachykeen INR 1080 or Clinique's Blushing blush in Precious Posy INR 1550 on the cheek apples for an iridescent peachy glow. Keep it subtle as we don't want to out-focus the eye makeup.
Prime the lids with Elizabeth Arden's eye fix primer INR 950 to prevent creasing. Liquid eye primers may not be reliable but I love them because we are able to see the true color. As a base apply NYX Jumbo pencil in French fries INR 375 from the lash line to lid and blend it in the crease with MAC 217 brush INR 1100. On the crease apply MAC eyeshadow in Brown down INR 900 shading it as needed. I prefer deeper crease for that bedazzling effect. Highlight with MAC pigment in Naked INR 1350 for a halo of color. You can use some on the cheeks as well. With a flat eyeshadow brush like Shiseido's Eyeshadow brush in Small INR 1200 dab on MAC pigment in Mauvement INR 1350 flat on the entire lid. On the outer corners apply MAC eyeshadow in Smut INR 900 blending it downwards on the lower lid and upwards in the crease to continue with the deep brown eyeshadow. To add a dimension you can also blend Clinique color surge eyeshadow in Foxy INR 1050. The silvery brown soft shimmer creates a lovely bedazzling effect very apt for nights. In the inner corners highlight with Naked pigment. Wet 217 brush and subtly layer MAC Reflets antique gold (Limited Edition). The fluffy brush is used as the sparkles need to be diffuse and subtle and not opaque. In the inner rims apply black eye pencil like Bourjois Intense black INR 385 and apply coats of Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara in INR 1075.
Dab Clinique High Impact Lipstick in Nude Beach INR 1025 and add a dash of lipgloss like Clarins color quench lip balm in Toffee INR 950
Do try this look and lemme know.
