Smoked in Jewels....

Sapphires and emeralds shining in a moonlit night creates a magical effect beyond imagination. I just wanted to capture that effect in the look 'Smoked in Jewels'.

I have used a glittery blue with some hither thither purple and dirty green shimmer over a forest green black base. Since I have been requested a tutorial on this, I will do it in sometime for sure.

  • Clinique Even Better Makeup SPF 15
  • Shiseido Natural creamy concealer
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish powder
  • Nars Orgasm Illuminator
  • Benefit Dallas blush from the Powder pop trio of Dandelion, Dallas and Hoola
  • Shiseido The Makeup lipgloss in G27

  • Nars Pro Prime smudgeproof eyeshadow base applied on the entire lid upto the brow bone.
  • NYX Jumbo Pencil applied on the entire lid and diffuse till the brow bone to create a gradient. Also smoke the same pencil on the lower lids for eyeshadows to adhere better.
  • To create intense black eyes, I layered Bourjois Intense Eyeshadow in Extrait 10 all over the lid till the crease and diffused the color above.
  • Highlight the brow bone with a touch of MAC pigment in Bell Bottom Blue.
  • On the lids again layer jumbo pencil and then press on MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow in She who dares, the sapphire glitter part in patting motion. Also apply in the inner corners and blend it into the crease.
  • On the outer half, blend MAC Pigment is Violet as a gentle dusting so as not to mar the effect of sparkly blue.
  • On the lower lids apply the shimmery emerald green from the same mineralize duo and smoke it. Apply another layer for the glitter to shine through.
  • Trace the inner rims with Chambor Dazzle liner in Dazzle Black and finish off with several coats of Max Factor False lash effect mascara for stunning lashes.Falsies could be optional.

Its a very disco rock-n-roll kind of look and you can tone it down as per your preferences

Do enter my giveaway before 5th Feb. Hope you liked the look.
