Treasure in the forest!

From the 'Enchanted Night' series is this post which is truly inspired by a scene from a short story.

'.............The thieves fled into the jungle with all the loot. The forest is dark and damp with paths glazed under the moonlit sky. An owl hoots randomly and crickets make blissful noices. And John resting behind the trees is disturbed by sudden neighs of horses and brisk rustling of leaves. And then someone topples from his horse and there falls a bag from his sides. As the bag falls, John sees a yellow gleam of pure gold under the moonlit sky...........' (Imaginary...)

FACE

  • MAC Pro Longwear Foundation SPF 10
  • MAC Mineralize Skin finish powder in Medium applied with damp Sigma Duo fiber brush
  • Bourjois Anti-cernes pinceau concealer
  • MAC Powder blush in Trace Gold and X rocks
LIPS
  • Estee Lauder Signature lipstick in Mocha
EYES

I have used many colors here but I am going to simplify as much as I can.
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance to keep eyeshadows in place.
  • I used MAC Passions of Red Intriguing Scarlet Warm eyes palette as a base to layer MAC pigments in Blue-Green and Scarlet
  • Trace the lash lines and inner rims of eyes with Bourjois Effet Smoky pencil in Ultrablack as a base for the dark colors to sit on. For more intensity (which I have not done) you can also layer MAC Paint pot in Blackground underneath. Apply the pencil in a 'V' shape on the outer and inner corners to create a black base for the forest green eyeshadow to stick on. Blend the harsh lines with MAC pencil brush.
  • Apply Grand entrance on the outer third and inner third  and also smoke it on the lower lids. Blend the crease with 'Gentle Heat' to eliminate harsh edges and keep the smoke on.
  • Highlight with 'Sweet Joy' which is a buttery beige shade on the left upper side on the brow bone. Highlight inner corners with olive green with gold flecks 'Warm Suede'.
  • To add depth and dimension to the look I blended MAC eyeshadow in Dark Edge on the crease blending it into the highlight.
  • Keeping the middle one third sans eyeshadow, Dab on MAC Pigment in Blue Green over the forest green eyeshadow and blend harsh edges. Blend it on the lower lid too.
  • Dab some TFSI on middle of the lid and dab on MAC Pigment in Melon + Golden Lemon.
  • Darken the inner rims with Chambor Dazzleliner in Black dazzle. Fill in the brows with MAC Dark Edge eyeshadow. Apply dollops of Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara in black after curling lashes with Shiseido eyelash curler.
Some more pics.
