Smokin' Blues.....

For this look I was inspired by late night pubs and parties. The rock chic girls pairing strong eyes with bright lips. Of course this look can be made demure as necessary. I love the way this smokey eye diffuses from a dark core towards the lighter outsides.

Lets see how to do this look!

Conceal under eyes to brighten up the area. Prep the lids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer.

To create a stencil, out line the circumference of the eye with Estee Lauder Double Wear stay in place eye pencil in Onyx.

With smudger provided behind the pencil, smudge to soften harsh lines. Then softly diffuse the black into the crease with a dome shaped eyeshadow brush.

Apply 2-3 layers of MAC Climate Blue (violet blue with pink pearl) with a flat brush on the black to add some blue. Keep it muted so that the black peeps through and maintains darkness.

Smoke MAC Climate blue on lower lids too, above the black and smoke it outwards.

Apply Climate Blue in the crease. You can see how different it looks when not applied over a black base. The blue looks true. It also helps creating transitions into 2 color just by adding a black.

Highlight with Shimmery sky blue from BH Cosmetics Tropical Mineral palette. I like the shimmery contrast over the satiny lid.

Highlight inner corners with the same shimmery sky blue (it does not have turquoise tones but some grey tones). Tame brows with MAC Brow Gel.

Line inner rims with Estee Lauder's Double wear pencil in Onyx. Curl lashes with Shiseido eyelash curler and add on several coats of Revlon Grow Luscious lashes mascara.

And voila!! you have easy smokey eyes with just 2 colors and a pencil. To make it less intense you can layer a lighter satin blue over a navy blue or dark teal. Keep the lashes voluminous to keep eyes in focus.

Apply a soft highlighter +  bronzer on cheeks and finish with some clear gloss.
