Strokes of the Sky!

As a part of 'Into the Blue' series, I wanted to offer a platter of blues in various styles and wearable forms. Blue is not an everyday color to wear and may not be appropriate for certain occasions but this is an attempt to get people using that blue eyeshadow lying in the corner of their bag.
In this post I am depicting a blue that is subtly washed across the lids. This is an easy to look to do and can be done using any soft pastel color. This is a look that can be sported at any occasion and looks trendy throughout the year.

For day wear I would recommend subtle washes of shimmery beige or soft gold on the lids, with minimal contouring, only if needed and lots and lots of mascara. I preferred using same colored liner as eyeshadow to make things even more beautiful and not create stark contrasts.

So here are strokes of sky...........

Lets see how to do this look.........

The under eye is concealed with Kryolan Supra foundation with a light hand for flawless coverage. The lids are prepped using Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer.

Slightly contour with MAC Remotely grey in the crease to add subtlest hint of definition. This adds depth and dimension to the eye makeup without overpowering the main color.

Highlight inner corners and brow bone with Too Faced Eyeshadow in Glamazon. This shimmery beige-y light taupe is perfect highlighter and less white.

On the lower lids smoke out MAC eyeshadow in Smokes and Diamonds. Draw a thin line just to darken under the lid and not make it too dark. I used Essence of Beauty Pencil brush to draw this line as it is the thinnest smudger brush I have ever seen.

Thinly line the upper lash line with NYX Retractable pencil in Blue eyes. Thankfully I got an eye liner color to match the eyeshadow color.

Subtly wash soft sky blue eyeshadow from the MAC Mineralize Trio in Persuasive over the entire lids blending it into the crease. I used a dome shaped crease brush to blend the color while a flat eyeshadow brush to apply the color on the lids. Tame the brows with brow comb and brow gel.

Curl lashes with Shiseido Eyelash curler and apply 3 coats of Revlon Grow Luscious lashes mascara. This mascara creates incredible volume and length without the lashes looking fake.

This is the finished look. Its so transparent and wearable for any occasion or any attire, right from jeans and T-shirt to a vintage ball gown.
