Artemis the Moon Goddess!!

Due to some unknown reasons my article on Artemis the Moon Goddess has become very famous on Beauty Traveller. Somehow it got the most hits so I thought of doing a tutorial with that beautiful goddess as an inspiration.

Doing makeup for a moon goddess is not so easy. She may be cool but has preferences. I did what I could do to make her look the best before she attended Winter Solstice. (a story)

I wish I was a bit fair to don this look better but its a look that would go on everyone provided you go a bit charcoal and silvery according to your complexion. Please note that I am looking a bit tired in this look because I am (did this look immediately after coming from the photoshoot).

Lets see how to do this look.......................

Begin with concealing the under eyes with a light weight concealer that also provides moisture.

Prime the eye lids with eye shadow primer. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer to even out the skin on the lids too.

Fill in the brows, comb them and tame them. Keep them domesticated and boyish. (Moon Goddess never went to wax or thread her brows)......

Use MAC Remotely Grey eyeshadow to faintly contour the crease and add subtle dimensions.

Highlight the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes with MAC Sunday best eyeshadow. Its reflective and a bit whiter. Opt for a beige if you have darker skin tones to avoid ashy-ness.

Fill in the crease with MAC Clue eyeshadow. This silvery grey with a hint of taupe looks amazing and lively. The satin color underneath helps tone the grey crease.

Apply MAC Thunder on the outer corners and blend into the crease. Create a softer 'V' shape.

Line the eyes with Bourjois Effet smokey in Deep Green. I love this color has it goes into a darker teal on Indian complexions.

Smoke it out to soften the lines and blend if upto the upper part of the eye lid and not into the crease.

Apply MAC Clue on the lower lids too and smoke it out into MAC Thunder

Apply the NEW Bourjois Light eyeshadow in Extrait 02. Its an iridescent blue-lilac duo chrome and changes the color of the eye pencil.

Mix and match matte white pencil from NYX with Bourjois Clubbing liner in Gris to create a steel colored liner in the inner rims. Artemis likes it this way.

Finish of with several coats of Clarins Instant Definition Mascara in Black.

To add dimension apply some  loose silvery glitter on the middle of the eye lid.

For the cheeks I applied an iridescent baby pink shimmery blush and lips were drenched in a high shine nude pink lipgloss.
