The Makeup Story : Look 2

This look was an eco-friendly look inspired from a wood nymph or a forest fairy. This look is very fresh, sunkissed, dewy and glowing. All the features in this look are enhanced and a soft focus is created to make it more ethereal and angel like.

Lets see how to do this look...........

  • As this was the second look, I removed the model's entire makeup with micellar cleansing water and a dual phase eye and lip makeup remover.
  • Then I massaged an oil free moisturizer and waited for 2 minutes for it to sink in. To correct the skin's concerns I dabbed in some BB cream to give her a uniform skin tone. BB cream also helps correct redness and minor concerns and acts as a wonderful primer.
  • To create the dewy look, I applied a complexion perfecter on the areas of the face where light would naturally hit and illuminate the face.
  • Then I applied a foundation with iridescent particles for that lit from within glow. I applied this foundation from the forehead to decollete blending  it with a buffer brush while applying it in stippling motions.
  • Due to the corrections done, I barely used any concealer. Only a little went in the inner corners to highlight and open up the eyes.
  • On the eyelids I applied an eyeshadow primer to keep the shadows intact. I contoured the crease with a taupe-brown eyeshadow to create dimension. I used the same shadow to subtly sculpt her nose and also used in the brows to add definition. Then I lined the upper and lower lash line with a taupe brown pencil and smudged the edges to create a soft smokey eye. On the lids I applied a shimmery golden beige eyeshadow. Used the same eyeshadow to highlight the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes. I filled in the rims of lower lids with a matte white pencil and added the slightest possible touch of matte lime green eyeshadow to it. Curled the lashes and applied 2 coats of lengthening mascara.
  • Then a semi matte bronzer was used to contour the cheek bones. To add a sunkissed glow I dusted a warm light peach highligher all over the face. And to illuminate the face even more I applied a cream color base on the high points of the face and also the eye lids.
  • I set the foundation and all the makeup with a semi matte transparent loose powder using a fan brush.
  • I applied some foundation on the lips to lighten her naturally pink lip color. Then applied a beige golden gloss over a lip balm to create moist sun drenched lips.
