Sultry Evening Smokey Eyes

I recently got to shoot a portfolio with an amazing photographer hailing from Hyderabad, Sarath and a lovely model Aishwarya Balakrishnan. It was fun and here is the outcome. Please note that the picture is photoshopped and airbrushed. This is a low resolution picture specifically used for blogging purposes and is a copyright of the photographer and the mentioned credentials. This is an extension of the previous makeup that I did. It can be viewed here.
So lets see how to achieve this look..........

The products used are mentioned in BOLD in the article itself.

  • For the second look, we chose to enhance the eyes and keep the rest of the face glowing and beautiful. Since she was donning a casual shirt and khakis and also a had a black n white dress, we thought of keeping the makeup same for both the looks.
  • For the eyes, I traced the upper lash line with Bourjois Khol and contour 16 hr pencil in Ultra Black. Also smudged it on the outer corners to create a smokey effect.
  • The inner corners were highlighted with MAC eyeshadow in Sunday Best which was also used to highlight the brow bone. For the eye lids I applied MAC Shore Leave (which was the highlighter in the previous look) which was layered over MAC's Illegal cargo to get a beige-y mauve undertone with the beige showing through.
  • On the outer corners of the upper lids and the crease, I applied a sultry black shade from the BH cosmetics 28 neutral eyeshadow palette. Blended into the outer part of the crease and continued with a darker brown from the same palette to create almond eyes.
  • Made a cat eyeliner using Maybelline Eye studio gel liner in Black which is my current favorite liner after Clinique Brush on cream liner. The lashes were curled and I applied another coat of Revlon Grow Luscious mascara.
  • The foundation and the blush was the same. Just added accentuates on the blush with Max Factor Flawless perfection blush in Classic Rose.
  • I brightened the lip gloss with Clinique Long last lipgloss SPF 15 in Airy Kiss.
This is a look that inspired beautiful smokey eyes and a classic glowing skin. It does have a bit of old Hollywood appeal with a lighter shadow and a darker shadow with intermediate shading.
Hope you liked the look. Will be posting some more looks shot by Sarath soon.

Till then,

Ciao
