Summer Party!

I must say, it isnt as easy to gain access to the internet these days and with so many things to do, life is getting better but harder and busier. In this post I wanted to get back to the burst of colors I am famous for and create wonderful combinations of colors apt for Summers. This post is all about using several MAC brights I have and is a fun to do for a summer party.

Imagine wearing colorful cruise wear and lounging and relaxing under a shade in this scorching summer heat and sipping chilled watermelon juice. This is the makeup apt for such an occasion but cool enough to work for a late night pub or anything that you would like to do. Just carry it off with elan

So lets see, how to do this look!

Conceal the under eyes and inner corners and prime the lids with an eyeshadow primer for the colors to show true and hold on better to the lids.

Tame the brows, fill in color preferably a matte powder in between the gaps and give it a shape. Defined brows can carry off any dramatic eye makeups.

Softly trace the crease with MAC Remotely grey eyeshadow. This step may not be must but helps deepen the crease and acts as a guide for placement of other colors. This is partially drawing of a stencil.

Highlight the areas where your eyes would naturally catch light. I have used MAC Shore leave eyeshadow to create this wonderful neutral beigey white highlight and brighten up the lid.

Draw a line as a guide for darkening and creating the actual desired eye shape. I advice using a kohl pencil as it is easily smudged and doesn't leave behind a harsh line.

Smudge the line to create a harsher and deeper creased effect. I have used the lovely Sigma Pencil brush to do so. This acts as a better guide for placement of hues in the crease.

With a dome shaped eyeshadow brush apply MAC Marvel eyeshadow in the crease. This is one of the brightest purples I have and it is very glamorous.

On the outer corners and outer crease, apply MAC Birds and Berries eyeshadow to create some glam darkness and definition.

On the lion's share of the lid apply MAC Surf USA eyeshadow which is this incredibly bright teal blue with a touch of turquoise and azure of the Pacific.

In the inner corners apply MAC Dame's Desire eyeshadow to create a fusion and gradation from purples to lilacs to blues to teals.

On the lower lids, in the inner corners apply MAC Sweet and Punchy eyeshadow, in the middle apply Surf
USA and in the corners apply Birds and Berries and then smoke them all out.

Curl the lashes and apply tonnes of MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash mascara. The thicker the lashes, the better the eyes look. To add a glam effect, you can apply an ivory white shimmery pencil in the inner rims of lower lids. I applied MAC Gilded White.

For the cheeks you can apply a satiny pink or satiny berry cheek shade and add some glistening touch to the cheeks with Givenchy's Cheek and Lip balm. A matte Hibiscus pink or china rose pink looks amazing on lips too.
