Simply Green!

This look is a monochromatic green look using cooler green to enhance eyes. I wanted to use one of the new NYX Slide on pencils I got and there wasn't a better reason to do so than this.

Why love Green eyeshadow?
  • Green as a color is very soothing and cooling to look at. (with certain exceptions)
  • It enhances the color of the irises that are brown or hazel, making the eyes pop.
  • Green is very wearable and not OTT.
  • There are a million shades and options available.
Anyways lets see, how to do the look......

Conceal the under eye area and inner corners. Apply primer to make the shadows appear brighter and stay put. I have also tamed the brows and filled them in with a shimmery dark brown color to glam up the look.

Highlight the brow bone with Stila's Kitten eyeshadow.

Apply MAC Sumptuous Olive in the crease. It looks a bit brown in the pictures somehow but its not. Its an olive green. There is something wrong with the lighting.

Apply TheBalm Shady Lady Vol.2 Makeout Mary eyeshadow on the entire lid and Inglot Forest Green pearl eyeshadow (don't remember the name) in the outer corners and outer crease.

Apply the same combination on the lower lids as well. There could be tremendous fall outs during application of pearly colors and can be wiped off with a sponge having some foundation on it. Greens and Blues can make the under eye area look funny and dark.

Apply MAC Sassy Grass in the crease to add dimensions to the look.

Apply MAC Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow in the inner corners and in the centre of the eye lid.

Apply MAC Blue Green pigment in the outer corners and diffuse it outwards to create a halo of color surrounding the outer eyes. This also helps blur any harsh lines and gives a glamorous effect.

Apply MAX Factor liquid effect pencil in Brown Blaze thinly across the upper lash line. Trace the inner rims of the lower lid with NYX Slide on pencil in Forest Green.

Curl the lashes and apply 2-3 coats of Edward Bess Bess Lash mascara in Black.

Apply False lashes if desired to to add dimension and create fuller lashes. I have used a black colored glue that makes the lashes disappear into natural lashes.

To compliment the rest of the makeup, keep a dewy glowing skin. A hint of peach cream blush or a coral flush looks amazing. Finish off with a dab of your favorite coral lipstick and top it with a shimmery pink for a two toned effect.
