The Neon Arch

I just randomly thought of doing this post and had no theme in mind perse. Neon may or may not be a trend this coming Fall (wonder Summers are still on abroad or what) but I did as it pleased my mind. Wanted to add a bright bow of color on the crease of the eye lid and could find nothing but a lovely Fuchsia pigment to do so.

This could be a take on Chanel's Summer 2012 collection which was inspired by ocean and sea shells. Just added some neon from the bright fauna of the ocean to create a wonderful effect.
This may be one of the smallest makeup tutorials on Beauty Traveller, but I can guarantee that its very interesting. So lets see how to get this look...........

Conceal the under eye area and set the concealer with a touch of loose powder.

Prime the lids with  Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer. When my eye lids are dry, the primer creases as you can see in the picture.

Apply Urban Decay 15th Anniversary eyeshadow palette color in Midnight 15 (Oyster shimmer) on the upper and lower lids and smoke it out to avoid harsh lines.

Apply Bourjois Light eyeshadow in 03 in the inner corners and as a highlight on the brow bone. It has this pink nuance which looks amazingly flattering.

With a Sigma Pencil brush apply MAC pigment in Fuchsia (which looks neon pink otherwise) and apply an arch of neon pink on the crease as shown in the picture.

Tight line the upper lash line and also the inner rims of the lower lids with Lancome Le Crayon Kohl in Noir and dab some MAC pigment in Lark About over the inner rims to add a lilac haze.

Curl the lashes and apply a smooth coat of Lancome Cils Booster Mascara primer. Also groom the brows and fill the gaps with Bourjois Sourcils Pencil in Onyx.

Apply 3-4 coats of Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black to upper and lower lashes for some added definition and drama.

For such surreal looking eyes, match them with a cheek stain or a cheek balm or a stick blush which is matte but has color. And apply some rosy stain on the lips to finish the look. You can create your own stain by applying a lipstick and blot with tissue and press the pigment in.
