Duochrome Ombre Eyes...

When I asked what 'Ombre eyes' meant, I was told that its a transition of colors from light to dark and is inspired from the hair-art. I was quite bemused with the idea as this trend was always there and yes, it just got a name. With so many people and bloggers talking about Ombre eyes all over, I wanted to do my version using duo-chrome eyeshadows from the BH cosmetics 88 Tropical shimmer eyeshadow palette.

And this is what I did. Btw, this tut was shot yesterday and took me a lot of time as I was very exhausted and sleepy. I dont know whether this is the classic Ombre eyes as it does not do so but it isn't bad to break the rule.

So lets see how to achieve this look.....

I used all the color marked with a star from the 88 Tropical Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette. The colors used were;
  • Beige and light pink duo chrome aka eyeshadow #1
  • Pink and lilac duo chrome aka #2
  • Lilac and sky blue duo chrome #3
  • Purple and dark pink duo chrome #4
  • Chartreuse green and white duo chrome #5
These duo chrome eyeshadows are very reflective and the effect is best appreciated in person than in the pictures. Also need to mention that due to a different lighting set up (in the living room) there is an insignificant optical blur in the pictures and they are not as crisp. Please ignore that if you can.

Conceal the under eyes to hide any dark circles and create a perfect canvas. Set the concealer with powder to prevent creasing.

Groom the brows with Bourjois Sourcils pencil in Ebony in feathered strokes. Also prime the lids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer.

Apply #2 on the entire brow bone. This is such a beautiful shade on its own and can just be used to highlight the eyes without looking made up. This is a certain luminescent sheen that is neither frosty or very shimmery. Just a sheen of duo chrome pink.

Highlight under the brow and in the inner corners of eyes with #1. This helps open up the eyes.

Apply #5 eyeshadow on the lid and just over the crease. This is an unusual color for an eyeshadow and is a duo chrome chartreuse green with white. Quite a unique shade.

Apply #3 on the outer third of the lid and blend into #5.

Apply #4 on the outer corners to deepen the color. Also trace the crease with the same shade.

Trace the upper lash line with Lancome Le Khol in Black and also tight line the upper lash line. Apply the liner in lower rims to add subtle definition to the eye.

Trace the eyeshadow #4 on the black liner to diffuse the harshness of the black liner.

Curl the lashes with eye lash curler and apply 4-5 coats of Bourjois Beauty-full Volume mascara in Black.

This is a simple Ombre eye makeup using 5 eyeshadows. To compliment the look, apply a lovely sheer pink coral blush and drench the lips with a shimmery lipgloss (preferably duo chrome).
