Festive Season Looks #2 Chocolate Smokey eyes - Charlotte Tilbury Inspired

Inspired from the amazing works of Charlotte Tilbury, a makeup maverick and makeup artist to the stars, this is a simple smokey eye that can create a magnanimous statement if paired with a bright lip and a lovely attire.

Most of the runway inspired looks that Charlotte does in association with MAC and other brands for fashion shows in Paris, Milan, New York and London are about creating a chocolate-y smokey eye this fall season. She has done the same thing in a video she did for Lisa Eldridge and on her own blog too.

To read about this amazing magician, follow the link in the post. So lets see how to achieve this tres simple look.............................

Apply concealer in the under eyes so that it covers any dark circles.

Prime the lids in case needed or simply apply some concealer and loose powder to keep the shadows from sticking and also adsorb any oil in case its there. For drier lids, a cream eyeshadow set with powder is a better option.

Apply Clarins Mono eyeshadow in Vanilla Beige across the entire lid as a wash of color. It helps neutralize any imperfections or sallowness on the lids.

Softly trace and define the crease with MAC Remotely Grey eyeshadow.

Line the upper and lower lid as shown in the picture. I have used a red brown color eye pencil from NYX  Long eye pencil called Chocolat. Its a very amazing russet toned liner which when mixed with subtle amounts of black shall give me a chocolate tone.

Trace the upper lash line, just near the roots of the lashes and also line the lower lash line with Oriflame Kohl Pencil in Black. This is a very soft kohl that has intense pigment, is very cheap to the pocket and unfortunately not very long lasting. For long lasting results one can use a waterproof eye pencil.

Smudge with a pencil eyeshadow brush to soften the edges. I used this newly bought Bourjois smudge dual ended brush which is also cheap and amazing in performance.

Seal the eyeshadow with a sparkly chocolate eyeshadow. I used theBalm Caught in the act Courtney eyeshadow to smoke out and fix the eyes liner.

Lightly define the outer crease with chocolate eyeshadow and blend into a smokey haze.

Fill the brows with Bourjois Sourcils pencil in Ebony, curl lashes with Shiseido Eye lash curler and apply several coats of Maybelline Falsies Waterproof mascara for luscious looking long, curled and voluminous lashes.

This is the finished look. The satiny textures of the eyeshadows add an incredibly modern feel to this eye makeup look and the powders mimic a creamy appearance.
You can either go for a natural soft pink or peach blush and a natural lipstick or go bold with lips and get a sun kissed look to beat the sallowness of  winters.
