Festive Season looks #5 - Quick Smokey eye

This is a quick take on doing a last minute smokey eye when you are in a hurry and not much time left in the Diwali celebrations. If done with absolutely no trace of precision then this smokey eye can be literally achieved in 3 minutes and yet look mysterious and bedazzling.

These are generally the looks sported by a lot of stars when they have to do their own makeups and rush for an event. Also I need to mention that the purple color from the shadow wasn't captured the way I wanted and in person it looks much more glamorous that in the pictures.

Anyways, lets see how to this ultra easy smokey eye.....

Conceal the under eyes and any darkness to reveal radiance. Fix with Translucent powder so that the concealer does no accumulate in the lines.

Apply concealer on the top of the lid to hide any discolorations and vessels from being seen through.

Apply MAC Groundwork Paint Pot on the entire lid and the softly diffuse it in the crease with MAC 217 brush.

Apply Lancome Le Khol pencil across the entire perimeter of the eye and extend it into a slight wing at the outer corners.

Blend the liner to soften the edges and create darkness at the lash roots. This helps create the haziness of the smoke.

Apply MAC eyeshadow in GO on the outer corners and the crease. Blend it towards the brow bone to accentuate the eyes.

Apply TheBalm eyeshadow in Fiesty Felicia in the outer corners and in the crease to darken the bronze color. The subtle purple undertones in the eyeshadow make brown eyes look brown-er.

Highlight the brow bone with MAC eyeshadow in Shore Leave.

Smoke out Fiesty Felicia on the lower lids too to create the smokey haze. Apply some Shore Leave in the inner corners to accentuate and open up the eyes subtly.

Curl the lashes with Shiseido eye lash curler and coat the lashes with Lancome Cils booster Mascara primer.

Tame the brows and apply generous coatings of Maybelline Falsies Lash mascara to get curly, lengthened and voluptuous lashes.

In matter of minutes you have the smokey eye that looks modern and is done quickly. Couple it with a berry toned blush and berry color on the lips to look sparkling for the Winter Festive season.
