Glowing Smokey Eyes

While testing the Kryolan Ultra Foundation in DO (Dark Olive) to hide my under eye circles. Thats not my color and you can already see that it has added some extra depth in my already deep under eye contours. But since that was the only shade I bought and while I am impressed with the way this foundation looks on skin, I am going to feature the entire palette soon with a review.

Anyways since I was trying this foundation, I also tried a soft glowing light cool green silvery smokey eye with the hazed out liner that I have been raving about all this while on my FB page. So sorry that I did not do a tutorial on this but shall do if anyone requests.

Lets see how to do this look...........

I have used the lovely Christian Dior 5 Couleur eyeshadow palette in Tropical Lights which is a palette with silvery cool colors that could create a very moon lit look. The eyeshadows are so beautifully manufactured that even without a proper base they look like a glow on the eye lids. Plus the colors are also long lasting. This is an old palette but a quintessential palette that can be fused with a lot of other palettes to create amazing and tantalizing looks.

To create this eye, I first applied Kryolan Ultra foundation as eyeshadow base. Then fixed it with Clinique Blended Face Powder on the lid to fix the foundation. I used the shimmering light pink from the quint as a highlighter on an already sculpted and filled in brow and also some shimmering pink in the inner corners. Then like how Charlotte Tilbury does, I mixed a duo chrome mint green with a bit darker version and applied in a diffused manner on the lid. This helps getting the silver out of the color and creates a smooth glowing finish. I used MAC 217 brush for this. Then I mixed a taupe grey with a cool bronze from the same palette and applied it in the crease to subtly define it.Then I lined the eyes with Bourjois 16hr Khol and contour pencil in Ultra black and smudged it with Too Faced eyeshadow in Exclusive shade. I also applied Exclusive shade on the outer corners and outer crease of the eye. Curl the lashes with Shiseido Eye lash curler and apply 3-4 coats of Lancome Hypnose Precious Cells mascara.

Pair this eye with a coral pink blush like MAC Hipness and slick on some gloss. To make this look apt for Fall you can also apply MAC Diva lipstick as a stain. This is one of the nicest and easiest looks to sport for Winters and the minky taupes marry very well with the silvery greens.

Hope you like this look. Do let me know in the comments.

Till then,

Ciao
