The Disco Party LOOK!!

This is one of the last looks for a party to bid 2012 a good bye. What a year it was? Lots of tribulations, bad memoirs and yet there's always been a ray of HOPE that keeps us alive.

This is an edgy, anarchic, dramatic and dark makeup look fit for the punks. But who cares, when its NYE. This is a look inspired from the 80's disco themes and I have made it a bit darker so that the silver sparkles on the middle of the eyes shine like stars in the new year's night sky.

While I imagine an aurora borrealis, fireworks, starry nights and all at once on NYE, I may not be able to conjure it. I could conjure this look though. Its very simple and amazing way of looking and sporting a sultry trend this season. If you want a last minute inspiration and have the patience to go through my blog, then this is a must do look for you.

Lets see how to get the Disco party look.......

Conceal the under eye circles or else just put foundation in the under eye area. You don't want to look too made up for the occasion or go white in the under eye area especially at night when you might get photographed.

Prime the eyelids so that the eyeshadow stays undisturbed and unhindered for a long time. Also I curled lashes with MAC eye lash curler and filled in the brows.

Trace the upper lash line with Bourjous Khol and Contour 16 hr liner in Bleu Graphique. This is a lighter take on the classic ultra black liner.

Blend the harsh lines before the eye liner sets i.e. within 1 minute after application.

Slightly define and contour the crease with Urban Decay eyeshadow in Backdoor. This adds a bit of definition and gives direction for the way the eye makeup should look like.

Apply UD Evidence eyeshadow from the SMOKED palette on the outer 'V' and create sharper edges on the lower prong of the 'V'.

Blend Backdoor eyeshadow on the outer crease and blend it all towards the brow to get sharper edges.

Trace an inverted 'V' with Bourjois Clubbing liner in Vert Insomniak  and line the lower lash line. Smooth it out with UD Loaded eyeshadow. To make the inverted 'V' appear flesh colored, apply UD eyeshadow in Kinky to create clean and sharp lines.

From the Naked 2 palette, apply UD eyeshadow in Verve on the centre of the lid. Blend it slightly in the crease.

Apply MAC eyeshadow in Surf USA in the inner corners to brighten them up.

To brighten the inner corners a bit more, apply Bourjois eyeshadow light in no.01 very subtly. This eyeshadow can be used to create sensational highlights anywhere wherever needed.

Curl lashes again and apply 3-4 coats of Maybelline Falsies Lashes mascara. With ring finger, tap some MAC Reflets Silver on the middle of the lid to create a lovely star like effect.

Keep the rest of the face dewy and glowing. I recommend using Shiseido Accentuating Stick in Rosy flush as a blush and highlighting with Benefit Highbeam for a luminous glow. Drench the lips with a rose colored gloss over a muted pink lipstick and you are off to go.
