The Naughty Green Holiday look....

This is a look inspired from Vivienne Westwood runway show and the makeup was done by the amazing and uber-talented Alex Box, who also happens to be the creative director of Illamasqua cosmetics. This is a very bright green eye with splashes of turquoise and is apt for summers. But who said that was the rule. One could wear this makeup for holiday and looks tres chic.

I used the lovely BH cosmetics 88 matte eyeshadow palette to do this look.

So lets see how to do this look.........

This is the inspiration for the look...........Its an almost air brushed look that is apt for runways. The blush for normal wear would be pink but with a hint of rosy brown in it.

Conceal the under eyes with a concealer. Keep it au naturale as there is too much happening on the eyes already.

To create a sticky base for these matte shadows to adhere better, I used MAC Paint pot in Groundwork. This helps the shadows stay put and enhances the color. Its my favorite over Soft Ochre and Painterly.

Apply a parrot green matte eyeshadow on the inner half of the entire lid, literally upto the brow bone.

Apply an aquatic blue green on the outer half and drag it outside to create a tail.

Diffuse the two colors to blend away the harsh lines with a fluffy brush coated with a medium blue green that would act as a transition color.

Blend the crease colors upto the brow bone and make it all look soft and hazy at the periphery.

Highlight inner corners and brown bone with a creamy yellow soft shimmery eyeshadow.

Apply an algae green color on the lower lids and smoke it out to merge into the upper colors. You may notice some fall outs which will be cleaned later on.

Define the crease with a hint of burgundy brown. This makes the lids appear bigger (especially for smaller eyes like mine).

Blend, blend and blend for the desired result.

Line the upper lash line with Chambor Dazzle liner in Purple dazzle and lower rims with Bourjois Clubbing liner in Vert Insomniac.

With a thick angled eye liner brush apply Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow in Tenacious Teal as a thick line on the upper and lower lash lines to create the shape. This color is also inspired by Charlotte Tilbury's YouTube tutorial for pop art peacock eyes.

Last minute crease definition by blending the burgundy brown inwards to create an illusion of much bigger lids.

Curl the lashes with Shiseido eye lash curler and apply Lancome Hypnose Precious Cells mascara. To add the pop art (Andy Warhol) like effect, I defined the eye brows and drew a thick line of lilac eyeshadow for that doll like effect.

This is sort of the color map chart of the colors that are used in this tutorial. Keep the cheeks barely flushed with MAC Powder blush in Desert Rose and Fleur Power and drench the lips with a coral red shine. To do this I mixed MAC Vegas Volt lipstick with a hint of Ruby woo and coated them with a clear Lancome Juicy Tubes gloss.
