Angel eyes....

I wanted to start the new year with tutorials that are a bit more demure and less dramatic. Since I could resist the latter, I ended up doing just one look demure and beautiful angelic look for the beginning of the new year.

This is a soft wide eyed look and just looks perfect for a day occasion. This is more of a photoshoot type look but can be done by anyone with small eyes to awaken them up. Even the colors are very soft and light (imagine a green peas with cream soup green color) and looks like you have had a perfect 8 hrs of beauty sleep after a tiring 31st Dec 2012 party.

So lets see how to do this simple and angelic look........

Conceal the under eyes with concealer, half a shade lighter than your skin tone. To prevent the lightness of the concealer, top with foundation to retain the skin color.

Pardon my dry eyes and see to it that you apply some sort of eye primer or a concealer on the top of the lids to create a good base for the eyeshadows to stay.

I have used the Guerlain Ombre 4 Eclat eyeshadow quad to achieve this brightening eye look.

Guerlain Ombre 4 Eclat eyeshadow in BRONZE DORE

From the Guerlain Ombre 4 Eclat eyeshadow quad in Bronze Dore, apply the Ecru creamy velvet shade across the entire eye with a big fluffy brush. I used BH cosmetics crease brush as it disperses the product very evenly. This was of eyeshadow is enough to open up the eyes.

Contour and shade the outer corners with the bronzy olive green shade. This helps emphasize the eye shape and creates soft dimensions when used softly.

In the inner rims apply Oriflame Kohl pencil in Nude to brighten the eyes. This also helps the eyes look less tired and well rested.

With the same BH cosmetic fluffy brush, apply the apple green velvet shade over the entire lid, while blending it with the contour color. Keep the eyes as soft as you can.

Curl lashes and apply 2-3 coats of Clinique High Impact Extreme volumizing mascara in Extreme Black.

Since this is a summery look for winters, its advisable to apply a rosy glow on the entire face and of course keep the lips subtle and glossy.
