Bride - Cocktail party makeup

This is the makeup that I did for Megha's cocktail party. It was a bit red carpet like with almost air brushed glowing complexion and lovely pop of color on the mouth.

So lets see how to do this look........

  1. Its important to have the skin looking very hydrated and well rested. So after moisturizing I refreshed her skin with few sprays of Kryolan Surgiva Skin Refreshing spray to lock in the moisture.
  2. Then I applied Smashbox Photofinish Light Primer over the entire face and then MUFE Corrective Base in Green over the red areas of the face to act like a filter.
  3. I dotted and blended Christian Dior Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Foundation on the entire face and neck and blended with my fingers and Dior foundation brush. Then I smoothed Kryolan Ultra foundation in OB2+OB3 in the under eye area and around the mouth for a bit of extra coverage. I sealed the entire makeup witH Kryolan Translucent Powder in TL9 and TL14 I guess with some yellow powder specially dusted on the red areas of the face.
  4. I contoured the facial contours with Benefit Hoola Bronzer to redefine the facial bone structure.
  5. Then I used MAC Mineralize blush in Light over Dark over the cheekbones to subtly define them and then highlighted the heights of the cheeks with Estee Lauder Platinum Powder.
  6. For the eyes. I filled in the brows with Inglot Brow powder and VOV eyebrow pencil and defined them. Then I used Kryolan OB3 to correct any redness and unevenness of the lids. Then I traced the lash line with VOV eye pencil and thinly smudged it with a small eyeshadow brush. On the outer half of the lid, I applied UD Toasted eyeshadow and in the inner half I applied a lovely peach shade from Lancome Quad in Chic. Highlighted the brow bone and also the inner corners with MAC pigment in Vanilla (its absolutely gorgeous) and then a bit more sparkle with Stila Kitten. Then I applied Max Factor Liner effect pencil in Blazing Brown and then smudged it with MAC pigment in Blue Brown very lightly.
  7. Then curled the lashes with Shiseido Eye lash curler and applied Lancome Hypnose Waterproof mascara to get the most gorgeous lashes. Then I thinly lined the lash line with VOV eyeliner pen to create a kitten flick.
  8. For the lips, I prepped up with Kiehl's Lip Balm in lovely Cranberry flavor. Then you won't believe but I mixed Kiehl's Lip Balm with MAC Ruby woo lipstick to create this soft cherry red color. Then I lined the lips with Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in place lip liner in Apple (something) for add definition but nothing stark and overtly dramatic.
Hope you liked the look and do let me know in the comments. Please do enter the GIVEAWAY as it comes to end soon.

Till then,

Ciao
