Angelic Eyes and the Colors of the Sky!!....The Friendship Day look!!

Wish you all a very very Happy Friendship Day!!!

This Friendship I wanted to choose colors that epitomize angels, peace, God, the sky, the dance of the blue clouds and a lot of stuff like that. This is also in an ode to all the amazing friends, friends of friends and all the beautiful souls in the world (leaving the tainted and maimed ones to themselves...LOL).

With the author of Beauty Traveller (that's me) having all his time to do posts, these are some of the finest days of my life. This is what I wanted to live upto....this is ME!! I see my liberty in the sky and sky is the limit where I want to fly.....So this look is all about friendship, liberty, freedom, peace and all good things that happen to mankind.......

I have used the eyeshadows from the famous Urban Decay Vice Palette and I can't wait to get to the tutorial. So lets see how to do this angel inspired look.........

The key to this look is the right and perfect usage of frosted and matte eyeshadows. There isn't any brown or black (except the mascara) which is what makes it divine and angelic.

Urban Decay Vice Palette

The eyeshadows that I used are Echo Beach, Nevermind, Provocateur, Unhinged and the dramatic one called Chaos.....

Note - Please do not mind the fatigue, acne marks and under eye wrinkles. I have been through a huge work trauma...LOL and hate the Kryolan Derma DFD concealer although I have used it a lot these times. I am planning to buy a new concealer and hopefully shall do that soon.

Conceal the under eye area with your favorite concealer. The Dermacolor DFD one has been very unforgiving one for me.

Prime the lids with an eyeshadow primer. This makes the eyeshadows stay longer and look better on the lids.

Wash Urban Decay eyeshadow in Echo Beach on the entire lid upto the crease and a little bit above.

Apply Chaos eyeshadow on the outer corners of the upper lid. Also smoke out the eyeshadow on the outer half of the lower lids.

Apply Unhinged eyeshadow in the entire crease and blend it to create a soft definition.

Apply Nevermind eyeshadow in the inner half of the lower lid and smoke it out.

Highlight the inner corners with Provocateur eyeshadow.

Trace the inner rims with Smashbox Click You're It Holiday eyeshadow palette in the navy blue color no.18.

Curl the lashes with MAC eye lash curler and apply 2-3 coats with YSL Faux Cils mascara in Noir Radical.

To pair with such a serene angelic look, I opted for a softer peachy tone on the cheeks and opted for glossy lips. The peach does contrast with the blues of the eyes and looks flattering.
