Aqua Meadows....

This is a look I always dreamt to do. Although I have done a similar look before ( I don't think anyone would remember it), but I never got this perfect aqua cool green before till the YSL palette came by. 'Aqua Meadows' comes from my has fairies, mermaids, pixies, magical lands, magical waters, moon shine, stars and a lot of happiness in the air.

This is a perfect summer time makeup but can be an all year around makeup like most of the others. It does lean towards fall with the marshy bronzy green.....I simply fell in love with the lashes and trust me they look so amplified only because of the sans liner approach to this eye makeup. If mascara was skipped, only an alien would recognize me...LOL

Anyways, quickly taking you through the look....have packed and have to run for a photoshoot.....So lets see how to do this look.....

This time I took pictures of the products I am using....Its the Guerlain Eclat 4 Eyeshadows in Bronze Dore and of course the YSL Pure Chromatics eyeshadow palette no.04.

Conceal the under eyes to create a flawless canvas (as much as you can)....

Prime the lids to secure the eyeshadows in place and make them look surreal and beautiful.

Line the upper and lower lids (sparing the outer corners) with a bright lime green pencil like Bourjois Clubbing liner in Morning Lime.

Since the pencil acts as a god base to add opacity to the eye makeup, apply it on the entire lid and softly blend with fingers.

Apply the marshy green bronze shimmery eyeshadow from the Guerlain Eclat 4 Eyeshadows on the outer corners and the crease and blend high towards the brow bone.

Highlight the brow bone with Ecru eyeshadow from the Bronze Dore quad. Tame the brows and fill them and shape them and gel them. Generally I do this in the starting of the look, but there isn't any hard and fast rule to do so.

With a damp flat brush, apply the aqua green from YSL Pure Chromatics eyeshadow quad on the centre and inner corners of the upper lids.

Apply the aqua green on the inner half of the lower lids and smoke it out with the bronzy green on the outer half. Also intensify the highlight by adding some ivory shimmer from the same palette in the inner corners.

What could be a better mascara than YSL? To get these intense false lash effect, I curled the lashes and used 5-6 coats of YSL Faux Cils mascara and combed through them with a Real Techniques Lash Comb. Also to lighten up the look I traced my waterline with the Ecru colored powder eyeshadow to open the eyes.

To keep the look ethereal and yet modern, softly contour the face with Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Add in Maybelline Dream Blush as highlights. I used a mixture of 04 and 07. For lips, opt for a sleek and beautiful rosy toned plum lipstick like Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Chocolate Raspberry and are ready.

Hope you liked the look. Do let me know in the comments.
