My heart melts for the color purple. I have purple clothes, purple toothbrush, purple bag.....and lots of purple makeup in my kit. Even shades of purples are invited as long they have a purple in them.
Purple is such a divine color. Adding flecks of fuchsia adds so much more magic to this already ethereal color. The effect is just so surreal and I have tried to create one in this simple makeup tutorial.
If you have brown or green eyes, then purple is your best buddy as it enhances the color of the iris by creating a contrast. Purple if applied meticulously is one of the most failproof and failsafe colors ever known in the makeup world.
So lets see how to achieve this purrr-fectly done purple feliner....
Conceal the under eyes with a good concealer. I used a Kryolan Derma in DFD as I had to do a bit more of covering than always.
Prime the lids to secure the shadows in place and make the liners appear brighter.
Apply a thin wash of Stila eyeshadow in Bubble bath from their Luxe Eyeshadow Palette.
Draw a fe-line with Stila Smudgeproof eye pencil in Lady fish. This aubergine pencil has the most alluring fuchsia flecks that my demented camera captured with a lot of ease.
Line the lower lash line too.......With the same pencil. Its a good way to define and alter the shape of the eyes. An extended liner makes the eyes appear wider and give them a seductive touch.
Retrace the liner after a stencil is drawn . This makes the liner more 3 Dimensional and incredibly beautiful. Define the crease with Stila eyeshadow in Bonbon. This adds a subtle definition to enhance the shape of the eye.
On the center of the lid, dab on an angelic pink eyeshadow. I used the Pink Diamond shadow from the Stila Luxe eyeshadow palette.
To amplify the lower lash line, trace on Marilyn, a lovely satiny shimmery fuchsia eyeshadow from the Stila Luxe Palette.
Curl the lashes and create doll like peepers with 2-3 coats of Lancome Hypnose Doll's Eyes mascara in Black.
And voila!! You are ready. I suggest the entire look to be a bit monochromatic with the fuchsia theme. This means a fuchsia blush like Chanel Tweed Blush in Tweed Fuchsia and highlight with Guerlain Meteorites Pressed Powder in Cruel Gardenia. Drench the lips in a fantastic shine with Guerlain Gloss D'enfer in Magenta Waouh. Isn't it perfect??
So do let me know in the comments on which is your favorite fuchsia lipstick....its a good tool to expand the horizons of understanding makeup brands....
