The Wish List
I am changing the 'Must Buy' list title to 'Wish List' as the wish list is getting bigger and bigger by the day. There are so many products just pouring in the market as if what and its so difficult to cope up with them, both financially and mentally. This August, again there have been some fantastic launches and Beauty Traveller plans to take an entire day off just to browse through them and see which ones are kick the brain and which get kicked.
This is my Wish list for August, irrespective of the new launches.....
I want to buy this Even Better Compact Makeup since the day I saw it. It feels cool to touch, applies like dream, sets to a powder form, is oil free and has a lot of skin care benefits that I may drastically need. Sold at 2100 across all the authorized Clinique outlets in India, this happens to be a star product or a star-in-the-making product.
Today I got a chance to apply the no.08 shade on my face. It does feel incredibly soft and creamy and dries to a semi matte finish. I did have to use a bit of their Blended loose powder to set it but once set it gave a perfect glowy radiant finish with a minimal creasing in the under eye area which got sorted once it dried. Looks like this foundation is calling my name.....
Today I also saw this color called Bountiful Beige at the Clinique store in R City Mall, Ghatkopar and was immediately sold on the amazing golden sparkle and pearl this shimmery beige eyeshadow has. It could be used as an eyeshadow base or as an accent to highlight the eyes and it would do a wonderful job. I am also adding another color in the wish list called Pink and Pretty which is almost a duo chrome golden pink and looks ever so beautiful.
These shadow paints are incredible if you could use them. I got the one named Chained and its a fabulous coppery delight for the eyes. The looks come soon....Eyeing on Halo and Pink Zinc for now as they are very versatile and fantastic eyeshadow bases.
Eesha of MakeupByEesha told me that she got this mascara today and I am going to wait for the review and just go for it. The YSL Baby Doll is somehow not happening in the list right now and I so wanted a Chanel mascara since long time after Inimitable. A gorgeous intense black mascara scores the top on my wish list.
This dull image does not do justice to how bright and amazing these brushes are. A birdie told me that these have been out of stock as soon as it got launched but I am not worrying as these are permanent additions to the line (until Chanel decides to withdraw). My only and only tiff is that these blushes just weigh 2.5 gm which is way lesser than so many of these kinds but it should not be forgotten that they are long lasting and dry down to a powdery matte color which does not budge for the rest of the day. What say....Fantastic, Affinite, Presage, Inspiration and Destiny are my favorites....I may pick up one at least after the war with my mind is over.
With my friend Jigisha's strong recommendation, it looks like this peach glowing piece de resistance bronzer may finally make its place in the Guerlain kit. Its madness.....
All the Maxi Shine glosses from Guerlain are topmost on my list. I am some or the other day going to pick all of them.
These long lasting liquid lipsticks are not new. But they are fabulous and have made their entry into some of the most ground breaking formulas of the time. Prerna has all colors and I am still wondering whether I should buy them and use them on clients (clients who really don't mind paying a heftier amount).
KEVYN AUCOIN BEAUTY
Strawberrynet.com sells this gorgeous mascara and it has some rave reviews worth enought to try it out. I am also eyeing their contour brush, the Candlelight highlighter, Sculpting powder, Sensual Skin enhancer, a couple of lipsticks and of course I want to begin the journey of Kevyn Aucoin beauty with this fantastic volumizing mascara.
I swatched these a couple of days ago and loved them. They are too good on the lips just the way they look good in the bottle and are very long lasting. The click button just adds some more smartness to Lancome's packaging strategy and the weird looking applicator applies the product beautifully on the lips.
I also saw a couple of lovely brushes from them and what a fabulous brush I have discovered. The Dual Liner and Smudge brush is on the hit list from Lancome....
Those who do not own a lot of brushes, please get this one as its so perfect and does a great job in creating a smudged smokey eye look.
My mascara addiction may turn into abuse now. The latest Dior Overcurl mascara is another one which has enticed me and it is on the Wish list for now. This mascara may look like a stereotypical one but the formulation is unique. It gives soft supple fluffy lashes that hold curl. Quite different from so many other curling mascaras that I have used. Plus it does not flake at all. At least these are my observations.
The Fall Winter Palette named Bonne Etoile and Constellation may steal the show in the coming season.
I am just not sure how heftier tag these products would come with. The entire range is stunning. Looks like Dior does its signature blues very very well and takes them seriously too.
THE BODY SHOP
A quirky entry in my wish list are these shimmer cubes which I shouldn't have underestimated. Maybe I didn't know what a dramatic turn they can take when used wet and after using it recently at a makeup job, I think I should go for some colors especially the metallic ones and the deeper aqua colors.
Unfortunately I wasted my hard earned money on their pathetic eye lash curler. I would never buy it again.
The Lorac Cosmetics pro palette seems to be ruling the beauty world right now. I am ordering mine from the ever so effervescent Shivani Chedda of Order Makeup UK. Cannot resist it as the eyeshadows are so pigmented and way better than the conventional famous palettes that we order. Worth the deal....I heard they are super smooth almost creamy in texture and can be used wet or dry....what the fun!!
And the wish list continues..............there is next article coming soon when I sit for some research on Sephora.com....Life just comes once, why not spend money and buy the things we like. Its not always that you have to buy, but buy what is good and pleases the eye. With just 5 Urban Decay palettes one can easily survive the beauty industry as a perfect earning makeup artist. But thats not what one does....Give it a thought!!
Do let me know what is your wish list in the comments!!
