The Chanel Week : Joues Contraste in Malice

This is the last post in the Chanel week...but ironically not the last blush in the series.I got MALICE, one of the most appreciated and most sought after blushes of Chanel. If you are looking for the next PERFECT blush, then this is it!!

Do not forget to click on the blush reviews;

Chanel's Joues Contraste Blushes are really amazing and its such an enjoyable journey with Chanel. I was told by someone that I love all the brands, and I corrected her by saying that I love some stuff from all the brands and I am very choosy in getting the best stuff. With MALICE (as a JC blush) I really felt emancipated (a bit disoriented lol) and you would know why................

Chanel has something to say about JCs.....

The touch of colour and radiance.
Offers effects from very natural to very sophisticated. Used as a simple touch of colour, it gives your complexion a healthy glow. As a professional tool, it shapes and models your face (cheekbones, browbones, forehead, chin, along the nose).
Manufactured by a process exclusive to CHANEL, the compact and silky texture of JOUES CONTRASTE gives easy application and subtle blending. The brush is made of natural hair.
Highlighting your cheekbones enhances the youthful appearance of your face. For the eye zone, choose a satiny tone to soften and rejuvenate this area.
Use the integrated brush to apply a highlighting touch of JOUES CONTRASTE to cheekbones or accentuate the structure of the face.

PACKAGING

Le Classique packaging of Fard a Joues Poudre Joues Contraste blush......Its so iconic and amazing.

FORMULA

The formula of this baked blush is ultra soft, very satiny with hints of shimmer in it to give that 'natural' look. The blush is very pigmented, soft and smooth in texture, glides beautifully on the cheeks and can be layered to get the desired effect. I asked Mary Greenwell, the maestro on Instagram about her favorite Chanel blush and she said that she likes them all. How amazing is that!! The rosy scent is as stronger as it is in this blush as well btw. The shimmer in the blush translates as a lovely radiant glow on the cheeks that will not go unnoticed to the naked eye as well as the camera.

INGREDIENTS

COLOR

Malice is beautiful ripened peach color. With the word 'ripened' (not described by Chanel though) I mean it has red and pink undertones as well as golden nuances just like that of a ripened peach. How tasty is that! The blush is a hint of shimmer which translates as a beautiful radiant glow that cannot be missed. Somewhere round the corner this is a blush that could be compared with MAC's 'Bite of an Apple' blush from their limited edition Venomous Villians Collection. On my medium neutral skin, Malice goes on as a soft reddened peach glow which is quite intense in application if frivolously applied. This color would go very pretty on fair skins if used with a light hand and is so pigmented that it would add a lot of warmth and flush to medium and darker skins. Since it has a cool and a warm undertone at the same time, this blush would translate differently when paired with different toned colors. With cooler colors on eyes and lips, Malice would translate a bit pinker while with warmer colors, it would translate as a lovely tangerine glow. How amazing is that!!

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

I bought my JC from the Chanel Boutique in Palladium Mall. It sells for 2550 INR for 4 gms. which is quite value for money.You must buy this blush if your hands fall on it as its a rarity.
