The Winter Party

(Edited Pic using www.picmonkey.com)

December is the month of jamborees. There are small and big parties happening everywhere. The month itself is very magical and festive (although a lot of festivals get over in India by the month of November).

In this look I wanted to create a metallic neon pink eyeshadow with a lot of colors in the background that would make it all look mesmerizing. I must admit that this was an experimental look which I thankfully shot and it really came out fine. So lets see how to achieve this look....

For this tutorial I used the Estee Lauder Violet Underground Palette (from which I used the shimmery beige, matte black and bright neon fuchsia pink) and the Urban Decay Vice Palette (from which I used the bright cobalt blue CHAOS and satiny black charcoal color called BLACK MARKET).

To prep the skin and get it ready for the makeup, I used Guerlain's Tenue De Perfection Foundation in shade no.04, MAC Pro Longwear concealers in NC 35 and NC 42 and YSL Poudre Compacte Matte and Radiant compact powder no.04.

Conceal the under eye circles and seal it with pressed powder.

Prime the lids with Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer to keep the eyeshadows stay put and also look brighter and much more intense than usual.

Apply Tarte Cosmetics Waterproof eyeshadow in Smokey Plum on the entire lid upto the crease.

Apply the black with micro shimmer shade from the Estee Lauder Violet Underground palette on the outer corners of the eyes.

Apply the shimmery beige eyeshadow from the Violet Underground palette in the inner corners and under the brow bone to highlight them.

Mix Urban Decay eyeshadow in Chaos and Black Market and smoke it out on the lower lids.

Apply Urban Decay Chaos eyeshadow in the crease of the upper lid to define it. You can go as deeper and as brighter as you want.

With a flat eyeshadow brush dampened with Kryolan's Surgiva Water Spray, apply the fuchsia shimmer on the upper eye lid, completely wet. The wetter the eyeshadow the brighter and metallic it looks.

Apply Chaos on the lower lids to make it brighter, in an attempt to match the upper metallic pink.

Fill the inner rims with Bourjois Clubbing Eye pencil in Neon Blue to compliment the bright pink.

Curl the lashes. Tame and fill in the brows.

Apply 2-3 coats of Lancome Hypnose Dolls eyes mascara in Black

I want to make this look ultra stunning and extremely modern. This means keeping the pinks intact but in a 80s manner. So goes the bright Chanel Joues Contraste in Pink Explosion on the cheeks with a bit of the lovely MAC Mineralize Blush in Hanging Loose to add a bright and beautiful scintillating effect. For the lipsticks I opt for a MAC Girl About Town or a Guerlain Rouge G in Gigi/Grenade and the fabulous Guerlain Maxi Shine lipgloss in Candy Strip. Now just to keep the look ethereal and almost fairy like, opt for a lovely shimmery gloss like Chanel Levres Scintillante in Desire/Day dream/Crushed Cherry.

Hope you loved the look. Do let me know in the comments.

Till then,

Ciao
