Review : Kryolan Lip N Cheek - Rose

Kryolan is synonymous with creativity, innovation and more of everything one of the most sought after professional brands. There's not a makeup artist I know who doesn't know Kryolan and others who don't happen to be preposterously nonchalant and ignorant. In today's article I have the privilege to review their new innovation and trendy stain for cheeks and lips.

How beautiful is this product! They have floral names too! Anyways lets put some lights on this amazing product......

PACKAGING

Kryolan packaging is ultra simple and very neat. Its the Germans who believe in minimalism and this seeps through this brand too. The navy blue tube consists of 10 ml of product and has clear ridge for the product to be seen through. The box is pretty simple navy blue color with all the data written over it (except the ingredients). I like tubes over tubs and jars as they help maintain a certain level of hygiene and you have an immense control on the product quantity.

FORMULA

The press release note says 'Lip N Cheek is a water resistant cream that colors lips and cheeks with a natural touch.' Indeed this is a beautiful gel like cream (thanks to the silicones) that glides on the skin to give that satiny effect and then dries down to a stain that stays for as long as one can know or remember about it. The fragrance is mild and quite inviting per se.

On cheeks, this does impart a dewy effect and has a polished quality to it. It looks and glides uniformly without any streaks and can be applied on bare skin as well as on a wet foundation before application of any powder based products. I prefer applying this with a dense blush brush as the brush helps buff the product and give a sweet looking glow on the face.

On lips, it is the sheerest of the tinge and may not shop very well on pigmented lips. Albeit that, I love to apply this as a base for a lipstick so that the lipstick stays put longer and even after it withers away, a subtle stain remains.

COLOR

Rose is a rosy toned color. It is a warmed up reddish pink with a hint of yellow (conspicuous to make it look warmer). It does remind me of the beautiful coral pink rose that used to bloom in my garden once upon a time.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

Kryolan Lip N Cheek sells at 500 INR for 10 ml of product and is available at all the leading Kryolan stand alone stores all over the country.

You must look for other colors too. I shall be reviewing 'Orchid' and soon buying all of them to keep in my kit as they are simply perfect addition to that bridal flush.

Till then,

Ciao
