Review : Sisley Phyto Lip Star in 05 - Shiny Ruby

I must say that this is one of the most expensive glosses I own, at the beginning of the review itself. LOL. Sisley cosmetics is such an amazing brand with such strong roots, such divine (and expensive) products, such beautiful textures and such innovative products. Sisley do make colors too. Limited but ultra luxe and ultra modern. 

Today I shall be reviewing the divine Phyto lip Star Lip gloss in Shiny Ruby. With high mirrored shine yet weightlessness of a feather, this is indeed a gloss of our generation. Its amazing beyond comparison and a definite must buy if you have a penchant for high end cosmetics.

So lets have a look at what makes Phyto lip star such an amazing product.........

The African tribal inspired multi colored lines on the Sisley Lip gloss packaging look so chic and modern and colorful. They actually changed the way one looked at luxury brands and removed the monotonous dark-gold combinations to create something more youthful and chic. Enclosed with this chic box is the star of Sisley - Phyto lip star. 

FORMULA

As a general rule, lipglosses with a lot of shimmer and shine are considered goopy, heavy on the lips and extremely sticky. But Sisley is nowhere near this description. This goopy looking lipgloss is extremely light weight, has a long lasting high mirrored shine, looks very bedazzling on the lips and the lemony fragrance is such a fresh take. Its zestful and alive. When used  alone it has this sheer translucency which gives a hint of lip color with the MLBB effect. When used over a lipstick, this gloss complete metamorphoses and creates ultimate luscious looking lips.The formula has plant extracts and lip conditioners, that have a natural plumping effect on the lips while they help retain moisture and soften up. They should have added a sunscreen to make it better though.

COLOR

Shiny Ruby is a light strawberry red with subtle orange tone which makes it much more wearable for warmer as well as cooler skin tones. The lip gloss has a silvery pearlescent shimmery and almost a vinyl finish.
