I love blushes! I feel that a blush is what completes the makeup. Its a bridge between the eyes and the lips and helps maintain the balance. A blush aka rouge as it was called once upon a time, helps mimic a natural flush or a sunkissed glow on the face.
Guerlain's Lueur D'Automne blew my mind! Its that surreal blush color that I always wanted and when it came with 2 sculpting colors, it made the combination even more beautiful. With a richly pigmented formula with a subtle effect that can be built into a strong color, Guerlain has done an amazing job with the Blush 4 Eclats.
So lets know Lueur D'Automne a bit more....
INGREDIENTS
PACKAGING
It comes in a nice black n gold packaging with all the required description along with the Guerlain logo. The vintage gold clam shell holds the blush, a small dingy blush brush and a lot of glamour.
FORMULA
The subtly fragrant Guerlain Lueur D'Automne blush is a makeup artist's and a consumer's delight. The formula is a silky smooth powder that blends seamlessly over the skin over a wet foundation or over a powder foundation with the same slip for both. The finish is satin with glints of shimmer in the highlighter that gives an overall glow.
COLOR
It is a harmony of four colors that can be used individually, paired up or a swirl all over the compact to create numerous color combinations. I would divide the top row as HIGHLIGHTERS and the bottom row as BLUSHES and SCULPTING POWDERS.
The top row HIGHLIGHTERS are - Light Shimmery Peach and Soft Shimmery Beige
The bottom row BLUSHES and SCULPTORS are - Soft Shimmery peach and Soft Shimmery tan
The blush turns up to be darker than what it photographs thence its a great color for a spectrum of skin colors from light to tan. The soft shimmers create alluring highlights and give a much more diffused appearance to the complexion.
Guerlain is known for creating high end cosmetics with a touch of (Extreme) luxury. Unfortunately this blush is discontinued thence price on request. If you love it and if you are lucky enough, you may find a piece at your nearby Guerlain counters.
