Review : Kryolan Lip N Cheek in Poppy

After reviewing those incredible PR samples of Kryolan Lip N Cheek, my mind compelled me to go and get other shades too. Unfortunately a lot of them happen to be out of stock but I was lucky enough to lay my hands on Amaryllis, Dahlia and a very beautiful deep tangerine shade called Poppy.

Lip N Cheek are very versatile products and more than a regular lip and cheek stain which other brands make. These are seriously waterproof and do not budge at all. The color intensity is phenomenal and trust me, a little goes a long way literally.

Lets have a quick look..............

Kryolan is all about basic and simple packaging and not much of  brouhaha about it. It is simple, effortless and convenient (until you are someone like me who like a bit of bling). The navy blue cover is made of paper and has all the information about the product especially the ingredients. I would love if they write about the usage in a brief or as a diagrammatic representation. The plastic tube is nice, convenient to use and has a small nozzle for dispensing the right amount of product. Its hygienically and ergonomically good.

Kryolan Lip N Cheek in Poppy is a runny, semi liquidy formula with silicones to give that amazing slip and blendability and blends like a tinted water on skin. It glides on better on foundation than on bare skin (of course without powder) and gives a natural looking flush on the cheeks and lips. The product is highly pigmented and dries at a lightning speed which is why one must show skills of a lightning speed to blend the product. Lip N Cheek can be layered under a powder and powder blush and also under lips to give a perfected primer for the other colors to stay and put on. I generally coordinate the coloring and would layer oranges and peaches over poppy for an extra splash of color.

Poppy is a bright orange with a slight turn over to red and bit more neon to look at. It would compliment all skin colors but look the best one darker and olive skin tones. It blends into a yummy orange sorbet on cheeks and does leave a deeper stain on the lips. It does look natural depending on the amount used and I do not layer the product over each other since I prefer to go sheerer and just make a base for my other powder products.

Kryolan Lip N Cheek is priced at 500 INR and is available at leading Kryolan stores and outlets all over. Its just the availability is a major issues since its a very famous product and the price point is not so high.

Hope you liked the quick review. Do let me know in the comment.

  1. I have been trying to get my hand on atleast one of these and they are always out of stock :(

    1. Oh!! Get these whenever u can. They r so amazing...and always oos

  2. I've never tried Kryolan products but this one looks amazing. Does it accentuate the pores when used as a blush? A lot of cream blushes do that so I was wondering.

    1. This is almost a benetint like product and a not a typical cream blush or a stain. Kinda hybrid. It's very very nice and doesn't accentuate pores....

  3. Lip N Cheek are very versatile products and more than a regular lip and cheek stain which other brands make.
